Job Title: Part-Time Responsible Individual (RI) – Children’s EBD Home
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK
Salary: £350 - £550 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee the launch and ongoing operation of a new children’s home in Bradford. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in establishing a safe, compliant, and effective service for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will work closely with the management team to ensure the home meets all regulatory standards from day one, supporting its successful launch and sustainable operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formally register as the Responsible Individual (RI) for the new children’s home with Ofsted.
- Oversee the operational readiness of the service prior to launch.
- Ensure the home consistently complies with all Ofsted guidelines and standards.
- Provide guidance and support to the Registered Manager on recruitment, safeguarding, and service delivery.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
- Line-manage the Registered Manager to support effective leadership and compliance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Responsible Individual within children’s services, particularly EBD settings.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driving licence.
- Ability to commit approximately one day per week to the role.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
