Job Title: Part-Time Responsible Individual (RI) – Children’s EBD Home
Location: Cheshire, England
Salary: £350 - £550 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee the launch of a new children’s home in Cheshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in establishing a safe, compliant, and effective service for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The Responsible Individual will work closely with the management team to ensure the home meets all regulatory standards from day one, supporting the organisation’s mission to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formally register as the Responsible Individual for the children’s home in Cheshire.
- Assist with the opening and setup of the new service.
- Ensure the home remains fit for purpose and compliant with all OFSTED guidelines.
- Support the Registered Manager with recruitment, safeguarding, and policy implementation.
- Line manage the Registered Manager to ensure operational excellence.
- Oversee the service’s effectiveness, safety, and regulatory compliance on an ongoing basis.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
- Proven experience as a Responsible Individual within children’s services.
- Valid Driving Licence.
- Strong understanding of OFSTED standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to work approximately one day per week in a self-employed capacity.
