Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee the launch and ongoing operation of a new children’s home in Liverpool. This part-time Responsible Individual role is ideal for professionals seeking a significant yet flexible position within a specialist children’s care setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the home is compliant, safe, and ready to support young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) from day one. Working closely with the management team, you will help establish a high-quality service that meets all regulatory standards and provides a positive environment for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formally register as the Responsible Individual (RI) with Ofsted for the new children’s home in Liverpool.
- Oversee the operational readiness of the service, ensuring it is fit for purpose before launch.
- Guarantee the home’s compliance with all Ofsted guidelines and standards.
- Support the management team, including recruitment and safeguarding procedures.
- Develop and implement essential policies and procedures for the home.
- Provide direct line management to the Registered Manager to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Responsible Individual within children’s care settings.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or an equivalent qualification.
- Valid driving license.
- Ability to commit approximately one day per week, with an immediate start preferred.
