Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school in the Wirral area for the 2026 academic year.

The Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form, supporting learners in their academic development.

This full-time, long-term role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys while working within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a classroom of learners in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form.
• Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum, including practical lab activities.
• Plan schemes of work and assessments to support student progress.
• Mark work and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Organise and participate in parents' evenings and school events.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science department’s teaching quality.
• Support students' academic and personal development through personalised guidance.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of Science teaching experience (NQTs considered).
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
• Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• References covering the last two years with no gaps.
• Right to work in the UK.
