Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Rhondda. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a positive impact on students in Key Stage 3 and 4. The Science Teacher role in Rhondda is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and become an integral part of the school team from day one. The position is available for an immediate start and is expected to continue until the end of the summer term 2026, with potential for extension into September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a classroom of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work where required.
- Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Incorporate both classroom and lab-based activities to stimulate student interest.
- Manage behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Science teaching experience (exceptions may apply for NQTs).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
- Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- References covering the last two years (no gaps).
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
