Job Description:
We are recruiting a Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Caerphilly, Wales. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for an educator who can inspire learners across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE classes, with an immediate start and continuity through to at least summer term 2027.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Science Teacher based in Caerphilly, your daily duties will include:

Leading engaging lessons for learners across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (including GCSE)
Planning lessons and schemes of work where required, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum
Delivering a mix of classroom and lab-based activities to build curiosity and confidence in science
Preparing learning environments and resources to support safe, effective practical work
Managing behaviour consistently in line with the school’s policies and expectations

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Science Teacher, you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas equivalent
At least 1 year of Science teaching experience (exceptions may be considered for NQTs)
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (support available to assist with registration)
References covering the last two years (with no gaps)
A current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the UK
