What Will You Be Doing?

As a Science Teacher, you'll inspire students aged 11–16 to develop their scientific knowledge, curiosity and confidence in the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, making learning accessible and enjoyable for students of all abilities.

• Planning creative and practical lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking and scientific understanding.

• Monitoring student progress through assessments, constructive feedback and differentiated learning activities.

• Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes engagement, achievement and effective behaviour.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum resources, share best practices and improve student outcomes.

• Supporting departmental development by contributing to the school's commitment to raising standards and delivering high-quality Science education.

What Are We Looking For?

We're looking for a motivated and adaptable Science Teacher who is passionate about education and committed to helping young people succeed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level, with the ability to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills.

• A positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to teaching students of varying abilities.

• A genuine passion for inspiring young people and improving student outcomes.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing, including an Enhanced DBS Check.

Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
