Job Title: Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: St Clears, Wales
Salary: £92.59 per day (PAYE weekly pay)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking experienced and dedicated Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistants to join schools and education settings in and around St Clears. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD, and challenging behaviour. As a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant in St Clears, you will play a vital role in creating a positive learning environment and supporting children with additional needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD, or challenging behaviour
- Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
- Help prepare classrooms for lessons and support the delivery of activities
- Work with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to meet their individual needs
- Support class teachers in lesson delivery and classroom management
- Assist learners during break times and lunchtime
- Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities
- Follow the school's behaviour management policies to promote positive behaviour
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 months experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings (experience within an SEN setting is advantageous)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available to assist with registration
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- References covering the last two years (with no gaps)
- Right to work in the UK
