Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated SEBD (Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Difficulties) Teaching Assistant to join their team in Haverfordwest. Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for students with SEBD.
- Assist in managing behavioural issues and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
- Provide one-to-one support to students with specific needs.
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to the development of individual behaviour plans.
- Support students during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities.
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEBD or in a similar setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of individual students.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) are advantageous.
- A proactive approach to supporting student development and behaviour management.
