Salary: £173.00 per day (minimum)

Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Secondary Music Teacher to join a secondary school in Caerphilly. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with learners across Key Stage 3 and 4, including GCSE classes. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and become an integral part of the school team from day one. The position is full-time, five days a week, with an immediate start and is expected to continue until the end of the summer term 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging music lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work where necessary
  • Deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Use both classroom and lab-based activities to engage learners
  • Manage behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of music teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs)
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
  • Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
