Job Title: Secondary Supply Teacher

Salary: £173.00 per day (minimum)
Job Description:
Our client is seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to join schools in Merthyr Tydfil and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible, ad hoc teaching opportunities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including Year 7, 8, 9, and GCSE classes. As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on learners' education while enjoying the flexibility of varied work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead classrooms of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Prepare classrooms for lessons and plan schemes of work where required.
- Deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Facilitate both classroom and lab-based activities to support student learning.
- Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Support learners to achieve their academic potential through effective teaching.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions may apply for NQTs).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
- Be registered as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available.
- Provide references covering the last two years with no gaps.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
