Job Title: Secondary Supply Teacher
Location: Merthyr Tydfil, Wales
Salary: £173.00 per day (minimum)
Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to join our team in Merthyr Tydfil and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible, ad hoc teaching opportunities across secondary schools, supporting learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. As a Supply Teacher, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on students' education while enjoying a variety of work environments and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead classrooms of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work where required.
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Facilitate both classroom and lab-based activities to support student learning.
- Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions may apply for NQTs).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
- Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- References covering the last two years (no gaps).
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
