Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join vibrant school communities across Newport, Wales. Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant based in Newport, your daily duties will include:
- Enhancing the learning experience of pupils with diverse educational and emotional needs
- Supporting pupils in developing independence and participating fully in the curriculum and school activities
- Promoting pupil health, wellbeing, attendance, and positive behaviour through restorative practices
- Assisting in the implementation of tailored learning strategies to build pupil self-worth and confidence
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- 3 months experience working with children.
- A strong desire to work with young people in an educational or supportive setting
- Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to help children overcome learning barriers
- An Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service) and EWC registration—or a willingness to complete these before starting
