Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Cover Supervisor to join a leading specialist provider in Aberdare. The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management skills and a good understanding of SEMH, SEBD, and EBD. This SEN Cover Supervisor role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on learners in Key Stage 3 and 4, working within a supportive environment that values flexibility and professional development. Key Responsibilities:

Lead a classroom of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Prepare the classroom for lessons and deliver a variety of work set by absent teachers
Maintain classroom control and discipline
Engage learners with both classroom and lab-based activities
Be flexible, think on your feet, and show enthusiasm for a range of subjects
Support the implementation of behaviour management policies

Requirements:

At least 3 months experience working with children, with experience in SEMH, SEBD, and EBD being highly advantageous
Ideally educated to degree level
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available to assist with registration
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the UK
