Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking a dedicated SEN Cover Supervisor to join a Pupil Referral Service in Aberdare. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to make a positive impact on learners in Key Stage 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising lessons across various subjects, supporting learners with SEMH, SEBD, and EBD needs, and working alongside a team of Teaching Assistants. Key Responsibilities:

Lead classrooms of learners in Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
Prepare classrooms for lessons and deliver work set by absent teachers
Maintain classroom control and discipline in line with school policies
Engage learners with both classroom and lab-based activities
Support the delivery of a variety of subjects and activities
Be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of different learners and situations

Requirements:

At least 3 months of experience working with children, preferably with SEMH, SEBD, or EBD experience
Ideally educated to degree level
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available to assist with registration
Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
References covering the last two years (with no gaps)
Right to work in the UK
