Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Swansea
Location: Swansea, Wales
Salary: £92.59 per day (Free weekly PAYE pay)

The SEN Teaching Assistant role in Swansea offers a full-time, long-term, permanent position supporting young people aged 4-19 with autism and additional learning needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Support and supervise educational games, sports, and craft activities
• Assist children with reading and other core subjects
• Prepare the classroom for lessons and create engaging displays of children’s work
• Work with pupils in small groups and/or provide 1:1 support for children with additional needs
• Support teachers in managing class behaviour effectively
• Facilitate group activities and promote a positive learning environment

Requirements:

• Experience and understanding of supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs
• Previous school experience, ideally within an SEN setting
• References covering the last two years (no employment gaps)
• A current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
• The Right to Work in the UK
