Job Title: SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant – Early Years & Special Educational Needs Support

Location: Caerphilly, South Wales, UK

Salary: £88.92 per day (minimum)

Job Description:
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact in an inclusive educational environment? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a leading primary school in Caerphilly. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the Early Years/Foundation Phase, providing vital SEN support to nurture every child's potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to promote engagement and progress.
• Collaborate closely with the class teacher to develop and implement tailored learning plans.
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages children to thrive.
• Support the delivery of adapted activities to meet individual needs and ensure all children access the curriculum.
• Observe, record, and report on children’s progress and behavioural needs.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEN or in early years settings is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to support young learners.
• Strong communication and team-working skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and work effectively in a busy school environment.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
