Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join an IQM-awarded, NAS-accredited specialist day school. The school provides a highly personalized learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 with complex needs, including PMLD, MLD, SLD, Autism, ADHD, and sensory or physical impairments.
Our facility boasts exceptional inclusive resources, including a Hydrotherapy pool and expansive outdoor learning spaces. You will work alongside a full internal therapeutic team to deliver a child-centred curriculum that helps students manage anxiety and sensory challenges while preparing them for adult life.

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality, individualized learning sessions designed to challenge and stretch learners with complex needs.

Environment Management: Create an engaging, supportive, and sensory-aware classroom environment.

Collaborative Practice: Work closely with class leaders, therapists, and multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure a holistic approach to education.

Leadership: Effectively lead and manage classroom support staff to ensure seamless delivery of the curriculum.

Assessment: Engage in detailed assessments and report on student progress, maintaining high standards of recording and evidence.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications: PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent teaching qualification with evidence of ongoing professional development is essential.

Standards: A solid understanding of the National Teacher Standards and expectations.

SEN Knowledge: Experience or a strong knowledge of Special Educational Needs, particularly sensory-led curriculums.
