Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teacher to join a supportive school in Runcorn.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a nurturing environment that caters to pupils aged 5 to 16 with complex needs, including SEMH. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive learning atmosphere, supporting pupils’ academic and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Primary School Teacher based in Runcorn, your daily duties will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, tailored to meet the complex SEMH needs of pupils.
- Supporting the class team in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviour.
- Monitoring and reporting on pupils’ progress and concerns, liaising with colleagues to ensure individual needs are met.
- Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurriculars and school trips.
- Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage interaction and foster a supportive learning environment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Primary School Teacher, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
- Previous successful teaching experience, preferably within a similar setting.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH and behaviour management techniques.
- Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting.
