Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Pentre, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales
Salary: £92.59 per day (minimum)

Job Description:
Our client is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a special school in Pentre, Rhondda Cynon Taf. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support learners with additional needs, including ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and Global Delay. As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Pentre, you will play a vital role in creating a positive learning environment and helping students reach their full potential. Whether you are looking for full-time or part-time work, this position provides flexible hours and a rewarding experience in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and supervise learners with ASD, PDA, Global Delay, or challenging behaviour
• Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
• Help staff prepare classrooms for lessons
• Work with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons
• Assist learners during break times and with lunchtime routines
• Engage learners in classroom and out-of-classroom activities
• Follow the school's behaviour management policies

Requirements:

• At least 3 months of experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings (experience within an SEN setting is beneficial)
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available to help with registration
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• References covering the last two years (no gaps)
• Right to work in the UK
