Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to support classroom activities and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. The Primary School Teaching Assistant will work closely with the Class Teacher to ensure the best possible educational experience for pupils in the foundation phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support to teachers and pupils in the foundation phase.
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
- Support pupils with their individual learning needs and behavioural requirements.
- Help create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supervise pupils during breaks and other non-teaching times.
- Contribute to the overall organisation and smooth running of the classroom.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for supporting young learners and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of pupils and staff.
