Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Abercynon, Mountain Ash. This full-time, long-term role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting young learners and fostering an inclusive classroom environment. The successful Primary School Teaching Assistant will work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver high-quality support within the foundation phase, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support to teachers and pupils in the foundation phase.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities.
- Support individual and group pupil needs to promote inclusive learning.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Contribute to behaviour management and encourage positive pupil engagement.
- Support the implementation of personalised learning plans.
- Assist with classroom organisation and resource management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the classroom.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are advantageous.
