Job Description:
Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding role in Liverpool? Our client, a leading specialist provider, is looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Special Education Needs (SEN) in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners aged 5 to 11 years, helping them access education and develop essential skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher to deliver high-quality education for all students
  • Provide individual or group support to enable students to access the curriculum independently
  • Assist in organising the classroom, resources, student groupings, and displays to create a stimulating learning environment for students with ASC, SCLN, and complex needs
  • Work with and manage sensory needs, implementing sensory diets and self-regulatory strategies as advised by the professional team
  • Support learners in developing or refining their independence skills, including personal care elements where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Experience and understanding of supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • School experience supporting students in classroom or 1-1 settings
  • References covering the last two years
  • Hold a current DBS on the update service or willingness to complete a new DBS
  • Right to work in the UK
