A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Special School in Aberdare for a September start. This full-time, long-term position offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with complex learning difficulties within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support to enhance learning experiences for all pupils
- Work closely with the Class Teacher to develop engaging, inclusive lesson plans
- Support children with very complex learning difficulties, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs
- Assist with behavioural and emotional support strategies
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Promote positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with complex learning needs or challenging behaviours
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability and patience in a dynamic classroom setting
- Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or childcare are desirable
- Enthusiasm for supporting children’s development and inclusion
