Key Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant based in Aberdare, your daily duties will include:
- Providing general classroom support to enhance learning experiences for all pupils
- Working closely with the Class Teacher to develop engaging, inclusive lesson plans
- Supporting children with very complex learning difficulties, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs
- Assisting with behavioural and emotional support strategies
- Fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Promoting positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children with complex learning needs or challenging behaviours
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability and patience in a dynamic classroom setting
- Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or childcare are desirable
- Enthusiasm for supporting children’s development and inclusion
