Job Description:
Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual passionate about supporting children’s education and development? A leading specialist provider of primary education is seeking a motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a primary school located in Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners, particularly within the special educational needs (SEN) sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality classroom support to pupils, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support that meets individual pupil needs
- Assist in the planning and implementation of learning activities and classroom routines
- Support students with SEN to promote their social and academic development
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organised classroom environment
- Support the inclusion of all pupils, fostering independence and confidence
- Undertake personal care responsibilities
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary or SEN setting
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
- Competent with personal care
- A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one
- Flexibility to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
