Job Description:
Are you an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding role in Caerphilly? Our client, a leading specialist provider, is looking for passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support learners with diverse needs, including ASD, PDA, PMLD, Global Delay Disorder, and challenging behaviour. This role offers flexible hours and opportunities across primary, secondary, and SEN sectors in Caerphilly and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant based in Caerphilly, your daily duties will include:

Supporting and supervising learners with ASD, PDA, PMLD, Global Delay Disorder, or challenging behaviour
Assisting learners at the start and end of the school day
Helping prepare classrooms for lessons and supporting staff in lesson delivery
Working with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to meet their individual needs
Supporting learners during break times and lunchtimes
Engaging learners with classroom and out-of-classroom activities
Following the school's behaviour management policies and promoting positive behaviour

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:

Minimum of 3 months experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings; SEN experience is beneficial
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (support available)
Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Right to work in the UK
