Job Description:
Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding role in Llanelli? Our client, a leading specialist provider, is looking for highly motivated, flexible, and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated SEN school in Llanelli. This is a full-time, long-term, permanent opportunity to support young people aged 4-19 with autism, who may also have additional learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge. If you are eager to make a real difference in children's lives and thrive in a supportive environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities
  • Assisting children with reading and other core subjects
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons and creating engaging displays of children's work
  • Working with pupils in small groups and/or providing 1:1 support for children with additional needs
  • Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour effectively
  • Facilitating group activities and promoting a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience and understanding of supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Previous school experience, ideally within an SEN setting
  • References covering the last two years (no employment gaps)
  • A current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
  • The Right to Work in the UK
