Job Description:
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join a leading specialist provider in Caerphilly. This full-time, long-term role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in a vibrant primary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored classroom support for students with special educational needs within the Foundation Phase.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Support the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt activities to meet each child's needs.
- Assist with behaviour management and social integration to promote student well-being and engagement.
- Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources to enhance classroom activities.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to assessments and reports as needed.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support effective learning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within a primary school setting.
- Knowledge of the Foundation Phase curriculum.
- Compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
