Job Description:
We are seeking to appoint a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team.
This well-supported role offers an opportunity to work closely with children with additional needs, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant based in Liverpool, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children with additional needs in accordance with their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
- Implementing agreed strategies and adapting learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Working closely with teaching staff, parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the child's educational, social, and emotional needs are met.
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, managing behaviour and classroom routines effectively.
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes the well-being of all pupils.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly those with special educational needs.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting children’s development.
