Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (night shifts, 20:00–08:00, 3 & 4 shift pattern)

Job Description

We are recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to join a warm, family-orientated residential care home near Flint, Flintshire. This is an excellent opportunity to lead by example in a supportive team, helping residents live with dignity, comfort, and independence through a person-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant based near Flint, your daily duties will include:

Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities in a residential care setting near Flint
Leading shifts, supervising care staff, and promoting high standards of care and professionalism
Administering medication (following training and competency sign-off) and responding appropriately to emergencies
Liaising with families, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, joined-up care
Maintaining clear, accurate records and contributing to a safe, homely environment

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful as a Senior Care Assistant, you will need:

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Previous experience in a care home or similar elderly care setting
Supervisory experience and confidence supporting a small team
Strong communication skills and a kind, patient, reliable approach
Ability to complete required pre-employment checks (including an Enhanced DBS check provided)
