Job Title: Senior Children’s Activity-Based Support Worker

Salary: £36,320 (Inclusive of sleep-ins)
Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young lives through care and adventure? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Children’s Activity-Based Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider in Maer. In this role, you will work within a residential setting, supporting children and young people aged 8–18 to develop confidence, independence, and resilience through structured care and outdoor activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nurturing, consistent support to help young people feel emotionally secure
- Deliver daily care routines that promote well-being and independence
- Lead and support outdoor and adventurous activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, and hiking to build confidence and life skills
- Support personal and social development by acting as a positive role model
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team to maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
- Follow the rota for this Children’s Activity-Based Support Worker role in Maer, including sleep-ins
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential) for this Senior Children’s Activity-Based Support Worker role in Maer
- Must be over 21
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Ability to work 39 hours per week, following the shift pattern: 4 consecutive days on, 7 days off, then 3 consecutive days on, followed by 7 days off (including sleep-ins)
- Experience or confidence in supporting children and young people in a residential setting (care and activity-based support)
- Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to creating positive outcomes for young people
