Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young adults? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider in Illminster. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital part in supporting children in care, working closely with management to ensure smooth daily operations and a safe, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the residential home alongside managers
Support children directly, providing guidance and mentorship
Lead and supervise staff to maintain high standards of care
Ensure the environment remains safe, nurturing, and conducive to development
Act as a role model and support the team during both day and night shifts

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or an equivalent qualification (e.g., degree in Health and Social Care) or currently working towards it
A full, clean driving licence (essential)
Previous experience in a residential setting in a similar role
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support others
