Job Title: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Holbeach
Salary: £32,203 to £35,420 ( Inclusive of sleep-ins)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate individual to join a leading specialist provider as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker in Holbeach. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 8 to 18 years with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and support the management team to run shifts effectively
- Mentor and support new staff members
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop independence based on their age
- Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting
- Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support young people in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans and communication preferences
- Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children's Support Worker or working with young people is essential
- Experience within a health or social care setting is essential
- Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People is essential
- A full UK driver’s licence is required due to the nature of the role
