Salary: £32,090 - £36,313.60 (including sleep allowance) + overtime
Job Description:
Are you a dedicated residential care worker ready to advance your career to a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker role? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a leading provider of children’s residential care in Warminster.
In this role, you will support the manager in the daily operations of a service supporting young people aged 10 to 16 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people while working within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and support the management team in running shifts effectively
- Mentor and support new staff members to ensure high standards of care
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop independence
- Maintain a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for children and young people
- Handle challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support young people’s well-being and promote their personal development
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and care plans are up-to-date
- Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People (essential)
- Experience working in a residential children’s home (essential)
- Full driving licence and access to a car (essential)
- Ability to deliver holistic, person-centred care for young people with EBD
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
