Salary: £32,090 - £36,313.60 ( including sleep allowance)
Job Description:

A leading specialist provider of children’s residential care is seeking a committed Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join their team in Spalding.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to support young people aged 8 to 16 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), helping them lead happier, more successful lives.
As a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will assist the manager in the daily operations of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support. Your leadership will inspire both staff and young people, fostering a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in running the residential service effectively
- Mentor and support new and existing staff members
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop independence
- Maintain a warm, friendly, and homely environment
- Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support young people’s well-being and promote their independence
- Ensure safety protocols and care plans are followed accurately
- Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People (essential)
- Experience working in a residential children’s home environment (essential)
- Full driving licence and access to a car (essential) for transportation needs
- Ability to deliver holistic, person-centred care for young people with EBD
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
