A leading specialist provider of children’s residential services is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker in Nottingham. In this role, you will support the manager in the daily operations of a nurturing and professional environment that caters to young people aged 8 to 16 with EBD.

Position: Senior Children's Residentia Support Worker
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £33,713 to £37,936 inclusive of sleep in's
Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and support the management team in shift operations
- Mentor and support new staff members
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop responsibility
- Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential home
- Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support the children’s independence and overall well-being
- Ensure a safe environment and keep up-to-date with individual care plans and guidelines
- Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People (essential)
- Experience working in a residential children’s home environment (essential)
- Full driving licence and access to a car (essential) for transporting children
- Ability to deliver holistic, integrated care for children with EBD
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
