Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join a nurturing, child-centred home environment in Tewkesbury. The Senior Residential Support Worker will play a vital role in providing safe, consistent care, acting as a positive role model, and supporting the wider team to deliver high-quality, therapeutic support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, consistent, and nurturing care to children with emotional and behavioural needs.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating warmth and reflection in all interactions.
- Support less experienced team members and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Assist in implementing therapeutic practices tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
- Promote the emotional well-being and development of children in your care.
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working within children’s residential care.
- Demonstrate a warm, reflective, and child-focused approach.
- Ability to support and mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and policies.
- Excellent communication and team-working skills.
