Join a leading specialist provider of children’s residential care as a Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker in Derby. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded, Ofsted-registered children’s home dedicated to supporting children aged 10-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high standards of care, protection, and emotional support to children and young people with complex needs
- Assist children with leisure activities and life skills development, both inside and outside the home
- Implement individual care plans, personal care routines, and day-to-day activities
- Communicate effectively with colleagues about children’s needs and activities
- Record progress, behaviour, and needs accurately in the home’s diary system
- Facilitate regular service user meetings and support their participation
- Conduct key working sessions and develop co-key working relationships
- Carry out risk assessments and reviews to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist with shift planning, task delegation, and conflict resolution
- Contribute to a positive, nurturing environment focused on stability and growth
Qualifications & Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 or QCF Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families or Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
- Full UK driving licence
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children and young people, particularly in residential settings
- Experience working with children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges (preferred)
- Proven resilience and understanding of supporting children with learning difficulties and complex needs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic, diligent, and passionate about caring for vulnerable children
- Ability to carry out personal care tasks such as bathing and toileting
- Good domestic skills including cooking and cleaning
