A leading specialist provider is launching a brand-new children’s residential home dedicated to supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering team, helping to shape a nurturing and clinically focused setting from the ground up. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care alongside expert therapeutic practitioners, ensuring a safe and healing space for children to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to children with EBD in a new residential setting.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams to implement therapeutic care plans.
- Foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being and development.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing assessment of young people's needs.
- Support the team in creating a positive, therapeutic culture within the home.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a children’s residential setting, particularly with EBD or learning disabilities.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential for senior roles.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
- Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional during challenging situations.
- Resilience and excellent communication skills.

Additional Information:
- Hourly Rate: £16.00 per hour (based on a 160-hour monthly contract).
- Sleep-ins: £70.00 per sleep-in.
- Rota: A "2 on, 4 off" pattern, working every other weekend.
- Support: Access to clinical consultation and specialist therapeutic training.
