Job Title: Senior Therapeutic Care Worker

Salary: £36,000 per annum (DOE, including sleep-ins and weekend shifts)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Senior Therapeutic Care Worker to join their team in Rudford, Gloucestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 6 to 21 who have experienced trauma and emotional difficulties. The Senior Therapeutic Care Worker in this position will work within a supportive environment that combines clinical and educational expertise to deliver trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of care workers, ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding.
- Lead daily routines and activities, maintaining a structured and nurturing environment.
- Develop and implement individualised support plans for young people.
- Provide emotional, social, and behavioural guidance to young people to promote their well-being.
- Collaborate with management and therapeutic teams to ensure consistent care delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to staff development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a care setting (preferred).
- Strong emotional resilience and a caring nature, with a commitment to safeguarding.
- Leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced staff.
- Excellent organisational and written communication skills.
- Valid UK manual driving licence (essential).
- Flexibility to work shifts across a 7-day rota, including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Additional skills in areas such as music, sport, DIY, IT, or tutoring are advantageous.
- Understanding of OFSTED or CQC standards (training available).
- Right to work in the UK, enhanced DBS clearance (company funded), and willingness to work varied shifts.
