Job Title: Senior Registered Manager – Children & Young People’s Care Home
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, UK
Salary: Up to £55,000 + up to £11,500 in bonuses.
Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Registered Manager to lead a new 2-bed children’s home in Wisbech. This specialised service supports children and young people who have experienced complex trauma or exploitation. As the Senior Registered Manager, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding, trauma-informed care within a therapeutic environment, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the young people in your care. This role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and innovative setting, with ongoing clinical support from in-house therapists and psychologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead with compassion and integrity, ensuring children receive tailored care, support, and guidance.
- Act as the voice and advocate for both your team and the children, fostering a safe, respectful, and aspirational home environment.
- Empower your team to deliver therapeutic, child-centred care that results in lasting positive outcomes.
- Build a warm, inclusive, and resilient home culture where young people feel valued and inspired.
- Oversee operational aspects including safeguarding, care planning, compliance, and team development.
- Mentor and develop staff through coaching, supervision, and training, including QCF Level 3 facilitation.
- Lead service development, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of home performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in children’s services.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s Management).
- Proven experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma.
- Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures, including The Children Act 1989 and children’s home regulations.
- Experience managing budgets and financial operations.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
