Job Title: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Lisvane, Cardiff
Salary: From £32,304 per annum including an additional £3k pa for sleep-ins (based on 4 sleep ins per month at £62.64 per each)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, resilient, and nurturing Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider in Lisvane, Cardiff. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team to deliver therapeutic care tailored to each child's needs
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for young people
- Record events, observations, and progress reports accurately
- Assist in developing and implementing individualised care plans
- Act as a positive role model, fostering trusting relationships with children and colleagues
- Support the Service Manager in maintaining high standards of care and compliance
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a children's home setting
- Level 3 or 4 qualification in residential childcare (recognised in pay rate)
- Knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models of care
- Excellent communication skills, caring, flexible, and resilient nature
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and sleep-ins
- Full UK driving licence
