Job Description:
Our client, a leading children’s residential care provider, is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join their team in Corwen, Denbighshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and complex needs within a supportive and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Support Worker based in Corwen, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting young people to build positive relationships and achieve their full potential
- Leading shifts and acting as a positive role model within the home
- Promoting a person-centred, therapeutic approach to care
- Collaborating with education, therapy, and management teams to ensure holistic support for children and young people
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Support Worker, you will need:
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in a children’s residential care setting
- QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or equivalent)
- Experience leading or supporting a staff team
- Full UK manual driving licence (company car provided during work hours)
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends
- Willingness to participate in the management on-call rota
- Competence in using electronic care recording systems for documentation
