Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our new Emotional Well-being Home in Syston, Leicestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, helping children and young people between the ages of 8-18 who have experienced trauma and significant life events. The service aims to promote emotional well-being, independence, and confidence through personalised care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker based in Syston, Leicestershire, your daily duties will include:

  • Building trusting, nurturing relationships to promote the emotional well-being and independence of children and young people.
  • Leading and supporting a team of Residential Support Workers in delivering high-quality care.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Documenting information accurately and ensuring all records are up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Working in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to support the needs of service users.
  • Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this within a specified timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential or similar setting.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care environment.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
