Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated children’s residential service in Corby, Northamptonshire. This senior role offers an excellent opportunity to lead and support a team of support workers, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care and positive outcomes for children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours.

Deputy Manager Position also available for strong seniors. 

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker based in Corby, your daily duties will include:

• Providing leadership and supervision to support staff, including mentoring and performance management
• Acting as a senior role model, demonstrating best practice in supporting children and young people with EBD
• Leading on safeguarding, risk assessments, and individual care planning to ensure safety and well-being
• Supporting the team during shifts, maintaining a high standard of care and compliance with OFSTED standards
• Contributing to team training and development initiatives
• Assisting with staff rotas, ensuring sufficient cover and effective resource management
• Supporting children and young people with their emotional and behavioural needs, fostering a positive environment
• Promoting positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Assisting with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and reporting

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will need:

• Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or willingness to complete 
• Significant experience working within a children’s residential setting, ideally in a senior or lead capacity
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and OFSTED regulations
• Experience supporting children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to supervise and develop staff
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required
• Full UK Driving Licence
