Senior Residential Support Worker - Children's Home (Merthyr Tydfil)

Salary: From £30,580 per annum (includes additional earnings for sleep-ins) Working Hours: Full-time, long day shifts, plus sleep-ins

As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide encouragement and support to young people who may have emotional challenges or an ADHD and Autistic spectrum diagnosis. You will play a key role in the team, helping to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes positive development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of professionals to deliver therapeutic care and support.

• Mentoring colleagues and inspiring the team to achieve the best outcomes for the young people.

• Helping to manage the day-to-day operations of the home.

• Recording observations, writing progress reports, and helping to implement care plans.

• Acting as a positive role model and building trusting relationships.

What You Need:

• A minimum of 12 months of experience in a children's home.

• A Level 3 qualification in residential childcare.

• Experience or knowledge of child-centered, therapeutic models.

• A full UK Driving Licence.

• A naturally caring, flexible, and resilient attitude.
