Senior Supervising Social Worker - Fostering Service
Location: North West England (Moreton & Birkenhead (Wirral), Chester (West Cheshire), Oswestry & Ellesmere (Shropshire))
Hours: 30 Hours per week (Monday – Thursday, 9 am – 5 pm)
Salary: £32,341 - £34,090 per annum (£40,426 - £42,612 per annum FTE) - dependent on experience
Benefits: Car allowance, home working allowance, 45p per mile travel, ‘out of hours’ payment, 32.8 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), 10% employer contribution pension scheme
Vetro Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a unique and friendly fostering organisation seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Supervising Social Worker to join their team. This primarily home-based role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of looked-after children and their foster families.
In this vital position, you'll be involved in the full cycle of recruiting, assessing, supervising, and supporting Foster Carers. You'll play a key role in maintaining a high-quality fostering service, which includes:

Leading the recruitment of new foster carers.

Travelling to the homes of foster carers as required, which may involve longer distances.

Leading occasional projects to enhance service delivery.

Running and delivering essential training and support groups for carers.

Participating in an ‘out of hours’ duty system, approximately five times a year.
The ideal candidate will be a flexible and adaptable professional with proven fostering experience, demonstrating significant expertise within Children’s Services. We are looking for individuals with outstanding people, report writing, organisational, and recording skills.
Essential Requirements:

A Diploma or BA in Social Work (or equivalent Social Work qualification).

Current registration with Social Work England upon commencement and for the duration of employment.
