Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Children's Support Worker to join a large, growing organisation dedicated to providing innovative care and education. This role supports children and young people with complex needs, emotional and behavioural difficulties, or challenging behaviours.

Salary: £15.40 – £16.00 per hour

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week

Shifts: Flexible working required, including long day shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Team Leadership: Lead a team alongside other professionals to provide therapeutic care and support tailored to each individual child.

Service Management: Support the Service Manager in ensuring the day-to-day operations are handled professionally and to the highest standards.

Mentoring & Role Modelling: Act as a positive role model for both colleagues and children, developing trusting relationships that promote growth and development.

Clinical Practice: Provide therapeutic care in a safe environment, facilitating recovery and positive change for young people.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, event observations, and the implementation of individualised care plans.
Essential Requirements

Experience: A minimum of 12 months of experience in a children's residential setting with knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.

Qualification: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).

Driving: A Full UK Driving Licence is required.
