Job Title: Senior SEN Residential Support Worker / Team Leader
Location: Ribchester, Lancashire, UK
Salary: Starting from £15.38 per hour
Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior SEN Residential Support Worker / Team Leader to join a specialist care service in Ribchester. In this role, you will support young individuals facing challenges such as anger management, absconding, and criminal behaviours, providing tailored care in a safe and nurturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone committed to delivering high-quality support and fostering independence among young people with diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support to young people, including those with challenging behaviours
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities
- Implement and follow individualised care plans to meet each young person’s needs
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times
- Support young people’s engagement with education at Vetro Regional School
- Work closely with the educational team to promote personal development
Requirements:
- Passion for working with young people with complex needs
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Families or equivalent
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
